Donald Trump: US President in 'Prince of Whales' Twitter error

US President Donald Trump

Was the President simply a victim of autocorrect?

The tweet was defending an interview with ABC News in which he said he would be open to accepting information on election opponents from Russian Federation or other foreign governments.

Also, unless he has an in with Aquaman's royal family, Trump is nearly certainly referring to the Prince of Wales, not the Prince of "Whales".

Prince Charles, eldest son of Queen Elizabeth, holds the title Prince of Wales, traditionally bestowed on the heir to the British throne. Wales is one of the four countries that make up the United Kingdom, along with England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

President Trump's confession that he would accept political dirt on his opponents from foreign powers set off a firestorm of tweets from the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates. "We talked about 'Everything!'" Trump tweeted.

He deleted and reposted the tweet with the correct spelling an hour later. We talked about "Everything!"

However, that didn't stop Victoria-based Prince of Whales Whale and Marine Life Adventures from getting on Twitter and having a bit of fun with the gaffe.

The President was insisting with his post that he wouldn't report damaging information passed to him by a foreign government to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, but failure to report attempted interference in a USA election is illegal under campaign finance law. How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again.

Perhaps if he's dealing with literal cetaceans, it won't become a problem for him anyway.
