Chelsea Star Eden Hazard Signs for Real Madrid in Blockbuster Deal

Football: Real Madrid announce Eden Hazard transfer

Ex-Barcelona president Joan Laporta has slammed Real Madrid after Los Blancos completed the signing of the Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard.

Terreur told Sky Sports' Transfer Talk podcast: "I expect him to play on the left because I know there has been a meeting in 2016 between Real Madrid and Hazard's people where they explained to him that they saw him as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo playing on the left wing, where he's playing for Chelsea basically".

Two Premier League wins and two Europa League medals were highlights.

Eden Hazard has penned an emotional open letter to the fans recalling his favourite memories with the club and also revealing his "dream" to play for Real Madrid.

As per the sources, Real Madrid have offered Belgian, £88.5 million, with additional perks that could take this deal to £130m mark, as per ESPN FC.

"Leaving Chelsea is the biggest and toughest decision in my career".

Chelsea fans weren't surprised to see the news break on Friday night and instead can now assess their options going into their first season without him in seven years.

"It's very nice that we're going to be together".

Courtois, who forced Chelsea's hand by refusing to sign a new contract last summer, had encouraged Hazard to follow his lead and join Madrid on multiple occasions during the season.

Another of Hazard's Belgium team-mates Dries Mertens also expressed his delight that the 28-year-old is moving to Real.

After the "Red Devils" securing a 3-0 home win over Kazakhstan in Brussels, Hazard moved swiftly behind the mixed zone avoiding the waiting media and timing his walk to the team bus when head coach Roberto Martínez spoke to the gathered journalists looking for post match analysis. 'Even when we were not playing well, I tried to do my best and this has been thanks to your fantastic support.

"I wish each and every one of you the very best my friends".

"I hope that we are drawn against each other in the Champions League next season and every season so we can meet again".
