Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua seems to have pushed his defeat to Andy Ruiz last weekend behind him after advising fans "not to let failure get into their hearts".
"Yes as they say November or December", the Mexican said, when asked by FightHype about the rematch.
He says he wants it in the UK.
Instead of getting an expected win, Joshua managed to score a big knockdown in the third round - but then Ruiz scored two knockdowns of his own in the same round.
He admitted he was relieved that the ref did halt the fight in New York's Madison Square Garden to avoid serious damage for Joshua.
Ruiz spoke to Fight Hub about the rematch, and what his demands are for the bout to take place in the United Kingdom. However, there are suggestions that mandatory fights could force Ruiz Jr into a bout with a competitor, which would take priority over a rematch. And then later, in the seventh, Ruiz dropped Joshua two mores time before the referee made a decision to wave off the fight.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old has confirmed that his team has triggered the re-match clause in their contract.
Here's what Ruiz recently said to Fighthub about wanting $50 million to fight AJ in the UK: "If they want me to go over there, they've got to give me $50 million dollars".
It all depends on the team and what they negotiate. If they want to come over here.
