Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Android Pie Based Kernel Source Released

Redmi’s Snapdragon 855 flagship could get an Android Q beta after launch

There will be an in-display Fingerprint sensor available and the display will be protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 Protection.

The latest Redmi Y3 device from Xiaomi ships with the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system with MIUI 10 on top.

Up front, it will pack in a 20MP pop-up camera inside the pop-up sensor.

The Redmi flagship is rumoured to come in four different RAM and storage versions including - 6GB RAM + 64GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage.

On the front, Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 13 MP sensor and comes with a whole bunch of AI features such as studio lighting feature, scene detection, portrait mode, and AI face unlock.

According to previous rumours, the Redmi K series could include two smartphones to start with - the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro. That is pretty much all the information the source shared this time around.

While the K20 Pro is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, the Redmi K20 could be powered by the Snapdragon 730 SoC. Further, as per the listing, Redmi K20 will also have a USB Type C port and will support fast charging. Rather, the phone has the greater display without the notch, and utilize the pop-up camera as the selfie camera. Furthermore, the company might launch the upcoming Redmi phone with Snapdragon 855 in India and other markets as Poco F2.

The info was revealed in the tweet celebrating the sales of over 2 million Redmi Note 7 series. It is worth noting that the company made this announcement about the upcoming flagship phone after the popular tipster Ishan Agrawal leaked the phone's name thus revealing that it would be called the Redmi K20. However, reports indicate that the phone could get announced in China in the coming weeks, along with the K20 Pro.

After launching the POCO F1, Xiaomi is looking to strengthen its Redmi line-up by launching a smartphone that can go toe-to-toe with the best out there.
