This pricing puts the Redmi Note 7S sandwiched between the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The post didn't just show Redmi Note 7S' camera capabilities in one setting but tested various lighting conditions and they turned out to be pretty great. The very same phone has gone official in India today as Redmi Note 7S. The Chinese company claims that the handset takes "detailed daylight shots", a "perfect Portrait shots" with depth-of-field bokeh effects and "amazing low-light shots".

The first striking thing when you lay your eyes on the Redmi Note 7S is the glass back. In a demo announcing the launch of the phone Xiaomi India head, Manu Kumar Jain can be seen dropping the phone to demonstrate that the Redmi Nte 7S is quite well built. This means you also get QuickCharge 4.0 support and a USB Type-C port. Xiaomi, however, does not ship a fast charger inside the box with the phone. Dubbed as Redmi Note 7s, the smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the 4GB RAM option is priced at Rs 12,999. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting this week May 23.

The Redmi Note 7S borrows the 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with dot notch from the Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro smartphones.

Both the front and rear of the device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The Redmi Note 7S runs on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 clocked at 2.2GHz.

The back camera is the biggest USP of the Redmi Note 7S smartphone. On the front it has a 13-megapixel selfie camera.

The Redmi 7 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.25-micron pixels), apart from a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

The rear camera is 48MP + 5MP dual rear camera with PDAF, EIS and AI Portrait Mode. It is backed by 3GB of RAM adn 32GB of internal storage and there is another variant that comes equipped with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device also packs a massive 4,000mAh battery. Like some of the other Xiaomi phones, the Redmi Note 7S also comes with the IR blaster, and the device also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone measures 159.2 x 75.2 x 8.1mm.
