The Most Dramatic Moments From the James Charles Saga

Twitter Any tips James Charles

In the 43-minute video Westbrook listed the reasons she made a decision to end their years-long friendship.

YouTuber James Charles is accused of manipulating others in the beauty blog industry and making unwanted sexual advances toward straight men. Charles responded with another Instagram story apologizing to Westbrook, saying she has been like a "mother" to him, and claiming that he did not receive any money for the post. He even did her makeup for her wedding.

While people may be focusing on the feud between these two, Westbrook is much more than drama. Cable news shows like Rachel Maddow and Sean Hannity get around 3 million viewers on a good night, and their YouTube videos average around 200,000 views.

Westbrook hails from Seattle, Washington. As she got older, she became an image consultant and would work with clients to improve their brands.

Charles' posts online makeup tutorials and interviews with big name celebrities (such as with rapper Iggy Azalea or United States media personality Kylie Jenner) on his social media accounts.

At his channel's height, Charles had 16 million subscribers. This led to her founding her own company Halo Beauty, which offers supplements for hair, skin and nails.

Westbrook is now worth $1.2 million. He calls her "mom" and they regularly have collaborated on multiple videos together.

This would mean that her page would make around $1,600 per day, which would be $600,000 per year just from the ads on the videos.

Charles told the Sydney Morning Herald in an interview after Westbrook's Bye Sister video was released that he's "not willing to ever shy away from" being held accountable.

The internet seems to have sided with Westbrook for now. It all happend when Tati Westbrook published a 43-minute long video titled "Bye Sister".

Countless YouTube channels known as "drama accounts" stirred up rumors and speculations about their relationship until May 4, when another prominent makeup artist, Gabriel Zamora, posted a video accusing Westbrook of being "immature" and having a "transactional" relationship with Charles. Jeffree, who was also a star on MySpace once, said there is a reason people ban Charles from their houses. Who is James Charles?

In the video, the main grievances she highlighted were that James didn't warn her about the Sugar Beat Hair ad and that it was orchestrated.

Westbrook also explained how this was more than just doing a business transaction with a competitor.

"To Tati and James Westbrook, I'm sorry for everything that is going on and everything I've put you through over the past few weeks", he said. Fame, power, and a fat bank account will change nearly anyone. I tried to be that person for you, I really tried. I don't want to be associated with you.
