"On the inside, it comes with a 13.3" foldable display that pushes 2K resolution in a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Lenovo'sfoldable ThinkPad X1 is powered by an Intel processor and uses a Windows operating system, although the company did not state which processor model or operating system version is used by the device.
Lenovo's new device may look like a foldable tablet with a keyboard accessory, but it's actually a foldable computer with a detached keyboard.
Lenovo was very cagey about the details of its foldable PC despite it only being a year out from potentially landing in users pockets, however, there are a few details we can latch onto at the moment to conceptualize an end result.
When folded, the device will be about half as thick and about the size of a hardcover book.
Looking at a couple of hands-on videos online, the device is still a prototype and you'll notice a crease in the middle of the display just like the Samsung Galaxy Fold. Lenovo has not announced a release date yet, but the device isn't expected to launch until next year. Apart from using it in your lap, the ThinkPad can be placed on a desk with its screen placed to face you.
A name for the device was not disclosed, with the company identifying it only as a new product for the ThinkPad X1 series-which includes notebooks such as the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Extreme. The world's first foldable PC will be made available sometime in 2020.
"We all want access to a large comfortable screen even on the go, but travel can make this inconvenient or impossible", the company said at the event.
In the presentation we were told that the device will be "always on" offer all-day battery life. Sitting in laptop mode the half of the screen facing you will be a 9.6-inch diagonal section from fold to opposite top corner. According to Lenovo, the foldable PC also supports stylus and has mechanical keyboard. That opens up more possibilities for software to better take advantage of the foldable PC's unique form-factor.
My time with Lenovo's foldable PC was short. The photos reveal that the PC folds out into a larger two-sided display, with one side working as a touchscreen keyboard.
The Moon is shrinking
In addition to the groundbreaking research, NASA hopes that this new exploration will inspire the next generation of scientists. These American astronauts will take a human landing system from the Gateway in lunar orbit, and land on the lunar South Pole.
