Four officers in Trump motorcade involved in crash

President Donald Trump reaches out to greet supporters after arriving at Chennault International Airport Tuesday

"Today, three motorcycle officers from local law enforcement were injured in an accident while traveling with the President's motorcade", Sarah Sanders revealed, according to ABC White House reporter Meredith McGraw.

A White House reporter for Bloomberg reported the officers in the motorcade appeared to have been injured in the crash. The motorcade slowed, passing the site of the accident near Lake Charles and the press was allowed to see before being rushed to the event. Trump, who is riding in an armored limousine, is reportedly fine.

Images of the crash show one officer in a grassy area between two lanes on the highway, apparently in the process of sitting up.

The Secret Service says four officers were involved, and three of them were taken to a hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The president's motorcade was heading to Hackberry, where he was making a speech about jobs and energy.

The accident did not impact the movement of Trump's motorcade, Secret Service spokesman Mason Brayman said.
