There’s a BJP wave, says PM Modi

"One country can not have two Prime Ministers, two flags and two constitutions. I now see a more powerful wave than in 2014", said Modi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that Kashmir isn't inherited Jagir of National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party.

Omar Abdullah also tweeted a photograph of PM Modi hugging Mehbooba Mufti's father, the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, to drive home his point.

Highlighting the importance of voting in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, PM Modi asserted, "Your vote in 2014 ensured long-term progress and infrastructural development for J&K".

"The people of J&K are not the slaves of the Abdullahs and the Muftis whose three generations have ruled this state".

Khan's support and also the suggestion that Modi would bring in better ties between the two nations indicate a secret understanding, perhaps compromising the interest of India on Kashmir, he said. "Why does the PM bash political families pre-elections & then sends his envoys to stitch alliances with the very same parties? BJP with its noxious agenda of banishing Muslims & minorities wants to divide India".

At a press conference, senior Congress leader Anand Sharma said the Prime Minister should come clean on the issue and the EC should immediately find out what was inside the trunk. "In order to gain sympathy & consequently power, PM is misleading people by equating himself with the nation".

He also targeted the Congress for the migration of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley and said his government was committed to settle the displaced community in their native places and that work has started in this direction. "This is a new India and it will strike terrorists well inside their hideouts across the border", he thundered. He specified that the Congress has used the defence forces only "to generate income, be it Bofors [Swedish arms manufacturer] or helicopter deals", adding that the Congress and its allies "keep politics above the security of the country". "India is not Modi & Modi isn't India".
