Pogba: United's performance at Everton was 'disrespectful'
"We are Manchester United and we play to win trophies".
Paul Pogba has said that he and his Manchester United team-mates "disrespected" the club with their abject performance in a 4-0 defeat away to Everton on Sunday.
"It's four games, it's four winnable games".
United are three points behind third-placed Tottenham and two behind Arsenal and Chelsea, and will miss out on Champions League qualification if they end the season in their current position.
Manchester United have the chance to restore some pride when the Red Devils take on Manchester City in the derby clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
"We let the manager speak, the staff speak (in the dressing room) and they spoke the truth".
"Yes without a doubt [the players are responsible]", Carragher told Sky Sports. They said what happened in the game and [said] it is not respectful for ourselves.
Midfielder Matic was at fault for Everton's second goal when he allowed Gylfi Sigurdsson the space to score from 20 yards, and the Serbia global admitted he could have done better.
"That's how we should apologise to the fans, just to give everything for us, for the club, for the shirt, for the team mates and for ourselves as well because it is us on the pitch and we can not perform like we did".
"And I think a lot of things we said were brought back up in this great run, a lot of times I was pulled up on social media by United fans, things that have been said about Pogba or different players". "Everything went wrong, but the most important thing is the mentality that we put on the pitch - that has to change".
"You have to work, you have to sweat for this shirt and you have to give everything".
