Police say Bill Kapri, whose stage name is Kodak Black, was among three people spotted Wednesday in a Cadillac Escalade at the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge in New York State.
South Florida rapper Kodak Black was arrested Wednesday at the USA border in upstate NY on drug and weapons charges.
Kodak Black was arrested in Boston on drugs and weapons charges and this was why he canceled his show in Boston. During the initial inspection, the USA citizens admitted to being in possession of marijuana and firearms.
He was scheduled to perform in Boston at the House Of Blues that night but failed to show. Customs agents found an undeclared Glock 9mm pistol and marijuana in his auto, and more marijuana and handguns were found in another vehicle traveling in his party.
In the other vehicle, police found two other weapons and more marijuana in the trunk.
Apparently, Kodak was hit with a criminal charge for weapon possession, and a misdemeanor charge for marijuana possession. All four were remanded to Niagara County Jail and are being held in custody on a $20,000 cash bond or a $40,000 bond. The driver of a second auto, a Porsche, faces the same charges as Black.
Black was in jail Thursday morning, and it was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
As fans left the venue, they reportedly swarmed a tour bus assumed to be Black's after shouting "F*ck Kodak!" Then on January 18, he was arrested by Broward Sheriff's Office deputies after posting an Instagram video allegedly showing him using marijuana and waving a gun around recklessly in front of a child, according to CBS Miami.
