After outdoing Roger Craig's outstanding amount on September 19, 2010, by a cool $32,000, 34-year-old Holzhauer's total winnings rose to $244,365.
Before Holzhauer's first record-setting win, the previous total for a single-day win was $77,000, set on September 14, 2010, by Roger Craig, then 33.
Holzhauer's total winnings are now at $697,787.
Last Tuesday, the professional sports gambler from Las Vegas broke the show's record for single-day cash winnings. He already held the biggest single-night earnings in Jeopardy! history, but he's going for more. What's more, Holzhauer actually already topped the $77,000 total two other times during his ten-day stretch - with $89,158 and $106,181 - but those came after his initial record-breaking win.
His ten-episode streak is second only to Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings, who amassed $2,520,700 during his 74-game winning streak.
Many Jeopardy fans have been asking how Alex Trebek is dong.
James Holzhauer has been giving shoutouts to family members with his Daily Double and Final Jeopardy wagers, using numbers that represent important dates, like birthdays and anniversaries. It is distributed domestically by CBS Television Distribution and internationally by CBS Television International. "I've always wanted to see someone try Jeopardy! wagering this way who had the skills to back it up", the trivia master wrote.
