Hoda Kotb Adopts Another Baby Girl, Reveals Her Adorable Name

Does Hoda Kotb Have a Husband? Meet Joel Schiffman, the Father of Her Daughters

Congratulations to Hoda Kotb! Guthrie rose to the challenge of helping her co-anchor Hoda Kotb reveal the happy news that Kotb has adopted her second child, Hope Catherine Kotb, to the complete surprise of their Today co-workers, and of course to millions of viewers at home. "I'm feeding her. I can't believe it".

"Man, I'm so happy she's here".

Kotb gushed on the phone, "It's a girl!" before announcing the little one's name was Hope Catherine Kotb.

For now it remains unclear how long Kotb's new parent leave will be - or who will be filling in for her. Yahoo has reached out to a rep for the Today show and will update this story when we hear back.

Kotb was beaming in a photo, embracing her new baby along with her 2-year-old daughter Haley Joy bearing a big smile.

For the record, Haley is "digging" being a big sister.

"Every night before I put her down, I always say to her, 'You know what my favorite time of the day is?' And I would just say, 'Right now, '" Kotb shared.

Sounds like Haley is going to be just fine when she starts to get the hang of this big sister thing! And it's the closest thing to a live birth I think you'll ever see.

Shortly after the adoption of Kotb's first daughter, Haley, she opened up about her hard journey to motherhood.

So the NBC journalist asked her boyfriend if he was open to adopting a baby.

She wasn't the only excited one in the family. "I said, 'Think about it for a day or a week or whatever.' And he said, 'I don't need a day".

"I wake up sometimes and go, 'Oh my God, I have a baby!' " she told the magazine. "We hoped and prayed about this".
