Coachella Festival Explosion Causes Huge Fire, But No Injuries Reported

BREAKING: Huge fire breaks out at Coachella as people urged to flee

The Coachella music festival, which started on Friday, was expected to spark some fire, but not literally.

Fire officials responded to the festival campgrounds around 2:06 a.m. Saturday, almost an hour after the final performance, CBS Los Angeles reported.

Nobody was hurt in the incident that happened around 2 a.m. near the center of the venue, according to CalFire.

The Riverside County fire department tweeted, "Firefighters responded to reports of a mobile shower unit on fire". It occurred in a storage area of Lot 8 in the 81000 block of Avenue 51, the agency said. Officials said one nearby trailer was damaged and another one was destroyed by the flames. No reported injuries to fire personnel or civilians. Fire crews will remain on scene for 1 hour for overhaul.

Weekend one of the festival continues today and tomorrow, with acts like Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, and Weezer set to perform.
