Tyreek Hill, Chiefs wide receiver, under investigation for incident involving son

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill rushes during the second half of an NFL football game against the Cleveland Browns Sunday Nov. 4 2018 in Cleveland

According to reports, Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill is being investigated by the Overland Park Police Department for battery.

A source familiar with the situation said Hill's fiancee has been in contact with Overland Park police.

Hill, 25, has not been charged, according to the Star.

The station reports Overland Park police were called to the home Thursday afternoon and that the National Football League and Chiefs are aware of the investigation, which Overland Park police turned over to the Johnson County District Attorney's Office for review.

The couple has a 3-year-old son, Zev.

The second police report, dated March 14, alleges battery on a juvenile.

The Chiefs are reportedly in negotiations with Hill for what NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said could be a "record-setting" new contract. "We'll have no further comment at this time".

Hill has a history of domestic violence.

IN 2015, Hill pleaded guilty to domestic assault and battery after his then-girlfriend said he choked her and punched her in December 2014 when Hill was a student at Oklahoma State University. The domestic violence conviction was dismissed and expunged from his record past year after he completed his probation requirements.

Kansas City took Hill in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. "Every team has that, but it gives you confidence in human beings that they can make a change when they put their mind to it and do things the right way". He received three years probation.

The conviction was dismissed in August 2018 and ordered to be expunged after he completed his probation requirements.

Looks like the Kansas City Chiefs could be on the verge of losing another big name player from their potent offense.

Last season he had 87 catches for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns.
