Sarri responds to reports Hazard could join Zidane’s Real

Eden Hazard's plan to leave for Real Madrid causes panic in Chelsea

It is no foregone conclusion that Eden Hazard will trade Chelsea for Real Madrid, according to former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan.

There has been fresh speculation linking Hazard with a possible move to Real Madrid this summer after the Spanish club re-appointed Zinedine Zidane as their manager this week.

Sarri was asked at a media conference on the eve of Chelsea's Europa League game against Dynamo Kiev if he felt Zidane's return to Madrid would sway Hazard.

Asked if Zidane's return to Madrid makes Hazard's exit this summer more likely, Sarri replied: "You have to ask Hazard, I think". At the moment I haven't spoken to him about Zidane, so I don't know.

"I think it's a sad situation for English football if we lose a prestigious talent like that, because he is a very talented player and I don't think Real Madrid and Barcelona are bigger clubs than the English clubs anymore".

However, Chelsea FC legend Drogba has insisted that he would love to see Hazard stay at Stamford Bridge and doesn't see why the Belgian playmaker would have to leave.

"He had fever after the Premier League match [against Wolves] for two days, so yesterday we chose to leave him at home to recover for the next match", Sarri said of Higuain. "I like that pressure a lot".

"I never talked about whether I would want to return to the position and I think, in my opinion, this is a ideal solution".
