A very cold start to the first work week of March. In anticipation of unsafe cold, a wind chill advisory has been issued for all of southeast Wisconsin from 10 p.m. Sunday night until 10 a.m. Monday morning. Clear skies will allow overnight low temperatures to drop below zero, as low as -10° in spots.
Make sure you are dressed appropriately over the next dew days as frostbite can occur in 15-20 minutes on exposed skin. Temperatures on Sunday stayed in the teens with wind chills hanging out on either side of 0° most of the afternoon due to a breezy wind out of the northwest. The high temperature Monday will be 21 degrees with cloudy skies.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be a little warmer as temperatures get back to near freezing by the end of the week. Some light snow could mix in near the Kansas/Nebraska border, but the better chances for accumulation will likely remain just to our north.
