Nintendo has announced a VR Kit for Nintendo Labo, which is bringing the virtual reality for the first time ever on the Switch.

Each Labo Kit contains pre-made cardboard cutouts, although other materials may also be included, which can be assembled to make a Toy-Con. There are a pair of expansion sets priced at $20 each for those who want to upgrade from the starter pack.

"We wanted to design an experience that encourages both virtual and real-world interactions among players", Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America's chief, said in a statement Thursday. We don't have long to wait to see it in action though, and see how Nintendo VR looks and plays.

Nintendo's VR announcement comes amid concerns over how it manages to boost the appeal of the Switch against a backdrop of declining sales.

Why shouldn't I buy third-party Nintendo Labo Kits?

The Nintendo Labo VR kits are set to arrive on April 12th.

Nintendo has revealed its latest Labo set, the VR Kit, which turns the Switch into a virtual reality headset. They're basically meant for quick, enjoyable and creative VR experiences - which falls in line with Nintendo's plans for the platform.

The main VR kit is priced at United States dollars 79.99 and contains all six of the projects, including the elephant, VR goggles, a blaster, camera, bird and a wind pedal.

Nintendo has introduced a new Labo Kit to make its Switch gaming console a little more interesting for the young.

The first run of Nintendo Labo units first released in April of 2018. The Toy-Con VR Goggles is the highlight of the package, but players will also be able to play with a Toy-Con Blaster, Toy-Con Camera, Toy-Con Bird, Toy-Con Wind Pedal, and Toy-Con Elephant.
