As Loughlin faces a federal indictment, Crown Media said that is "no longer working with" her and that it has halted development of all its productions involving her, including "Garage Sale Mysteries", even though the series is made by an independent third party.

Technology giant Hewlett Packard also removed an ad featuring Loughlin and daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, 19. She will have to surrender her passport in November, when her projects are expected to wrap.

Loughlin has not responded publicly to the allegations or entered a plea in the case, and didn't speak in court Wednesday except to give one-word answers to the judge's questions.

Earlier this week, Loughlin was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation after being accused of participating in a nation-wide college admissions scheme. Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are accused of paying bribes to secure their daughters' admissions to top college programs. She's reprised her role as Aunt Becky for Netflix's "Fuller House" reboot of the popular series that originated in 1987 on ABC.

She's proved a reliable performer. The show is in the middle of its sixth season and is one of the most-watched shows on cable TV. When Calls the Heart, which stars Loughlin as a schoolteacher in a turn-of-the-century Canadian coal town, is now airing its sixth season. "This is our format, this is what we do,"' Loughlin said in an interview a year ago with The Associated Press about the Christmas movies.

Earlier this week, Lori Loughlin, and her husband Mossimo Giannulli, were arrested after it was discovered that they allegedly paid $500,000 to get their two daughters accepted into the University of Southern California.

Felicity Huffman ("Desperate Housewives", "American Crime") was among the other prominent parents, including a lawyer, doctor and a venture capitalist, indicted in the scam. Asked about Hallmark's success, Crown Media CEO Bill Abbott told The Washington Post that in an "undeniably contentious" national environment, "we are a place you can go and feel good".

"She lost trust", said Robert Passikoff, president of Brand Keys, a New York-based brand research firm.

While Stewart may exemplify her business, Loughlin wasn't the only engaging star on Hallmark's roster.
