Happy Not To Draw Arsenal - Chelsea Director

Napoli beat Red Bull Salzburg 4-3 on aggregate in the Europa League last 16

Barnard admits that Chelsea are happy not to take on their London rivals in the last eight of the competition, but insisted that no game will be easy at such a late stage of the Europa League.

Napoli's passage was rather less straightforward, advancing 4-3 on aggregate against RB Salzburg after falling to a 3-1 defeat in Austria, but both clubs remain on course to fight for the Europa League trophy in Baku on May 29.

"I prefer to face them in the final".

"I am doing everything to make it happen and my team-mates are the same".

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up for Sunday's Premier League visit to Everton, which could see them move level with fourth-placed Arsenal.

Should Chelsea win the Europa League, as they did in 2013, it would offer them an alternative route to next season's Champions League.

The midfield sees Ruben Loftus-Cheek being handed a start alongside Mateo Kovacic and N'Golo Kante, with Jorginho provided a rest and Ross Barkley not risked, for the English global is one yellow card away from suspension.

He said: "In the last period, every time he has been on the pitch, he was able to play really very well". He had a wonderful match and I'm really happy he could play for 90 minutes.

"His potential as a player is very, very, high".

"Physically, technically and tactically he is improving".

"When I do the tests on the treadmill I have to say that I have one of the best tests [at the club]".

The Italian appears to be welcoming a match-up with old club Napoli, claiming that would make him "happy".

"He played very well - better in the second half because we found the spaces and Callum in the spaces is really a very good player", Sarri added. So, for the opponents, it was really a very hard situation.
