England v Scotland, Six Nations 2019

England's Jack Nowell is tackled by Scotland captain Stuart Mc Inally in the 38-38 draw at Twickenham

EDDIE JONES hinted Joe Cokanasiga will be part of England's World Cup squad despite dropping the rookie wing for the climax to the Six Nations.

The powerhouse wing produced a man-of-the-match display in England's 57-14 thrashing of Italy as he rampaged around Twickenham last weekend, with former England coach Clive Woodward comparing the Fiji-born flyer to New Zealand great Jonah Lomu.

Taking his place in the No 14 jersey is Jack Nowell, who has recovered from a shoulder stinger injury, with Ben Te'o picked as replacement threequarter cover.

"Joe's a good, young player and we're looking after him", Jones said on Thursday.

His starting place had gone to Jack Nowell and the 21-year-old Cokanasiga was not included among the reserves.

So you pick a Test where they're playing on a flat track, bat them at six, let them get runs, then you quietly build them up.' With the World Cup just six months away, Jones added: 'I don't need to fast-track him. We'll bring him through carefully and he's got a long career ahead of him.

"He'll still learning from being around the squad and will feature heavily in our warm-up games for the World Cup". Ben Te'o drops out to the bench with Manu Tuilagi moving from outside to inside centre allowing a comeback for Henry Slade.

In two other changes Ben Moon comes in for Ellis Genge in the front row while flanker Mark Wilson starts in place of Brad Shields.

Ben Youngs will be making his 85th England appearance to surpass the national record for a scrum-half held by Danny Care.

If Wales beat Ireland in Cardiff earlier on Saturday they will be crowned champions and complete a Grand Slam.

They did beat England in Edinburgh past year when they outmuscled Jones's team at the ruck and the Australian said he expected a different scenario on Saturday after overseeing a massive improvement in that area, and in their discipline.

England's Six Nations campaign began well past year with victories over Italy and Wales but they went on to lose their remaining three matches in the tournament as well as the first two Tests of their three-game tour of South Africa. "You have three teams who can win it", Jones said.

"With young players, particularly in this environment, you've got to look after them", England's head coach said.
