Apple Music is now available on Amazon Fire TV, enabling customers to play music through their television using voice commands. The move followsApple Music's launch on the Amazon Echo previous year (via CNBC). Amazonalsoannounced the availability of the Apple Music skill will expand to include the United Kingdom for Fire TV and Echo devices in the "coming weeks". If not, you can simply set it up from the Alexa app, according to CNBC.
It's just been announced that Apple Music will be arriving on these smart speakers in the coming weeks. The company has long made its services available only on its own devices, and now that is business focus has shifted towards services-based revenue, the company is aggressively pushing its services and bringing them to more and more devices.
Go to the Apple Music Alexa Skill in a browser or the Alexa app. It was only in December that Apple Music came to Echo devices, and with Apple's rumoured video streaming service due to launch, we suspect the company will want to continue opening up its services to other platforms.
