The 'cool' parenting tip Anne Hathaway got from Prince William and Kate

Kate Middleton’s BAFTAs outfit included a sweet tribute to Diana

Kate wore a show-stopping white one shoulder gown by Alexander McQueen with Jimmy Choo glittery pumps and Princess Diana's diamond and south sea pearl earrings. After pictures of Kate Middleton at the BAFTA ceremony went viral, several social media users decoded her look and deduced that the earrings Kate wore were once owned by Princess Diana.

While scheduling conflicts (ahem, Grammys) left the evening slightly overshadowed, the BAFTAs gave us everything and more, including a meeting of fictional Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and the very authentic Prince William and Kate Middleton. News, the one thing Anne is focusing on is how she communicates with her toddler - a tip she picked up from British royals the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Anne Hathaway is taking a page from Prince William and Kate Middleton's parenting book. Prince William is the current President of BAFTA, and he presented the BAFTA Fellowship to film editor Thelma Schoonmaker at the award ceremony held at London's Royal Albert Hall. Last year, she chose a dark green empire-line gown by designer favourite Jenny Packham with emerald jewellery, when she was pregnant with Prince Louis.

The Duchess went for an nearly bridal look, donning a sweeping, one-shoulder white gown by her favourite designer Alexander McQueen.

Next week, the Duchess will attend The Royal Foundation's "Mental Health in Education" conference and the 100 Women in Finance gala dinner in support of the "Mentally Healthy Schools" programme.
