Marcus Morris has harsh words about Celtics' chemistry after blown lead

Boston Celtics vs. L.A. Clippers - 2/9/19 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Still, a 21-point halftime lead at home against a team that recently shipped off arguably its best scorer appeared to be a large enough cushion, even without Irving.

Although the Celtics have been playing great as of late, winning ten of their last 11 games, they obviously aren't playing well without Irving, and if the Clippers manage to steal a game away from Boston, this will be the second time that they will be losing against a team from Los Angeles.

Take this into account: with Kyrie Irving at the helm in the first half, the Boston Celtics had built an advance of 28 points.

After the game, Marcus Morris spoke to reporters about the team's attitude issues and how he sees the team functioning more as separate individuals instead of a cohesive unit.

The Clippers have enjoyed plenty of bright spots during the season, but I wouldn't expect too much from them the rest of the season as they have no intentions to make the playoffs if the trade of Tobias Harris was anything to go by.

The Celtics ran up a 68-40 lead with just over four minutes left second quarter thanks to 14 points from Irving and another 12 points off the bench from Gordon Hayward. Boston led by 20 at the time, and the team quickly announced that he would not return.

Irving has been averaging 23.6 points per game this season and 6.9 assists per game. He missed the last 15 games and all of the playoffs past year with injuries to his left knee.

The game was the last in a rivalry week for Boston and Los Angeles that began with the Super Bowl.

The Celtics are coming off a 129-128 loss against their archrivals, the Los Angeles Lakers a couple of days ago and obviously would like to bounce back.

The Red Sox also beat the Dodgers in the World Series, back in October. That's the goal. Trade deadline's over.

It was the largest comeback by any National Basketball Association team in the past two seasons. They improved to 3-2 on the trip. The Celtics went 25 for 31 from the free throw line, snapping a streak of two straight games without missing a foul shot.
