Malik Yusef Denies Forging Kanye West's Signature To Seal A Deal
Yusef is saying that Kanye West did inform Philip Plein of his intentions to bow out in a timely manner.
Longtime Kanye West songwriter Malik Yusef allegedly used a fake charity affiliation and a forged Kanye signature to extract $900,000 from fashion designer Philipp Plein in exchange for a New York Fashion Week performance by West that the rapper/producer apparently never knew about, TMZ, The Blast, and Page Six report. The rapper and spoken word poet associated with Kanye allegedly "misrepresented himself to Plein as Kanye's rep" to book the performance that 'Ye had no knowledge about. Along with that, he had Plein's company wire a $900,000 advance to an account that the man cleared out swiftly. The contract states that the deal involved walking the red carpet, attending the catwalk presentation, and staying for a dinner (decked out in Philipp Plein, obviously).
They were also allowed a travel budget for West, Yusef, the orchestra and the kids, totalling $170,000.
While Kanye may be working on becoming a different person this year, specifically one that's less politically-controversial after news broke that he'll officially retire that ill-received MAGA hat, we doubt Mr. We have recently been in contact with Kanye's official team and are releasing this statement in unison to clarify that there has not been any misconduct on any of our parts. According to documents obtained by The Blast, frequent collaborator Malik Yusef was the one who made the deal.
The outlet's Kanye sources, however, argued that even if there is a foundation, Kanye has no active involvement in it, and the organisation would not have the permission to sign contracts on his behalf.
