Honest Alexis Sanchez on why Mourinho struggled at Man United

Chelsea's recent setbacks have coincided with reports of player unrest over Sarri's management style and training methods, but Zola said he did not expect the former Napoli coach to change his outlook.

"But we don't change what we believe is good for this club because, otherwise, we are nothing".

Surprisingly, Sarri had a fantastic 12-game unbeaten run as Chelsea manager, but the Blues have stumbled to three defeats in four Premier League fixtures.

"Two years ago, you were probably asking the same questions to Pep Guardiola", said Zola.

"What we're trying to do is ambitious in a competitive league, and it's not easy".

"You were asking if he'd keep playing from the back all the time".

"He said that was not under discussion and was just part of his game, even in hard moments".

"So he has adapted something but he hasn't changed his way to see football".

Chelsea face Manchester United for the second time this season in Monday night's FA Cup fifth round tie at Stamford Bridge, looking to build some momentum as they reach a crucial stage of their campaign.

"You have to admire what Pep has done. Not everything comes together straight away".

But he feels the Blues should be getting more from the under-performing stars now on the club's books.

As for the much talked about Callum Hudson-Odoi, he played only a cameo in Sweden but Zola insisted that he is always in consideration for the first team and may feature in the cup.

Demanding Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and influential director Marina Granovskaia are unlikely to spare Sarri unless results and performances improve soon.

"We have players here who can do even more than what they're doing, and we can go far as a team". Pedro has usually been the preferred choice but I think Sarri may go with Willian against United meaning Pedro and Hudson-Odoi will be named on the bench. Although he suffered his first defeat as interim boss at home to PSG in the Champions League last week, Solskjaer appears increasingly likely to get the job ahead of other candidates.

"Plus they are really in a good moment, so it's a good challenge".
