Here’s All the Options In Gmail’s New Right-Click Menu

The new options are gradually rolling out to G Suite users, starting with rapid release domains (in which users get new features as soon as they're released to the public) on Monday. With the new update to Gmail for desktop, users can do a lot more, such as reply, forward, snooze, and mute, as well as search for previous emails from the same sender or with the same subject.

It's a small change, but very welcomed.

The new features will reach paid Gsuite users first. Should all go well, it'll likely hit regular Gmail accounts shortly after.

Google has, over the years, turned Gmail into an immensely powerful email tool that is among the most popular email clients in the world. The web version application, however, doesn't really give the same ease-of-use to those who aren't comfortable with shortcuts or depend on mouse or trackpad for navigation.

It'll mean swifter access to some of the most common actions in Gmail. My personal favorite will probably be "Open in a new window". The company understands that well (but it took its time), so it will improve the right click function to offer many more options. You'll also be able to use Control and Click on a Mac and the Windows key in Windows. Users on the Scheduled Release track will start receiving the update on February 22, but Google said it will take one to three days after that to reach everyone.
