AOC Adviser Admits Green New Deal Promised Security Those 'Unwilling' to Work

‘Brilliant!’ Trump supports Democrats’ Green Dream to ‘eliminate all planes, cars, cows & military’

Calling climate change "a national emergency", Buttigieg said the concept matched "a sense of urgency about that problem of climate change with a sense of opportunity around what the solutions might represent".

It also moves climate change into the spotlight as the USA heads toward the 2020 presidential election.

The new push comes after President Trump failed to mention climate change in his State of the Union address last week.

On Thursday, February 7, New York City Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined Massachusetts Senator Jeff Markey in Washington, D.C.to introduce a public policy proposal to combat both man-made climate change and create millions of jobs with better wages as well as benefits to reduce income inequalities.

The 29-year old career bartender turned lead architect and brainchild of the Democrat party recently told the world, it will end in 12 years if she doesn't act now, and act she has, like a fool.

It called for a 100 percent reduction in fossil fuel emissions by 2030.

The Green New Deal includes goals like bringing greenhouse gas emissions down to net-zero within a decade and taking reliance off energy sources that are non-renewable or produce emissions.

Ocasio-Cortez has since removed the document from her website that included such language as eliminating air travel or providing help to those "unwilling to work", but archived data shows the initial post did, in fact, make such a statement.

While the bill is unlikely to pass in the divided 116th Congress, Progressive Democrats in Congress and grassroots activists are further pushing environmental policy forward into the public mainstream, especially during the upcoming 2020 presidential election.

However, after walking through the contents of the Green New Deal, their tune quickly shifted.
