Kesari is Akshay Kumar's forthcoming film with Parineeti Chopra.

The countdown to Kesari began today with a glimpse from the film, shared by superstar Akshay Kumar. A beam of an interesting blend of movie genre, Akshay who has earlier announced his next project, Kesari finally released the first glimpse of the poster and needless to say, the internet is yet again charmed.

In the poster, we see Akshay as Havildar Ishar Singh standing all alone against 10,000 Afghans. The 2.0 actor also added that also added that he would be sharing "glimpses of Kesari" from Tuesday onwards, so be prepared for an eye-treat.

Kesari director Anurag Singh shared the poster on his Twitter account and wrote, "An unbelievable true story frm d pages of history-d bravest battle ever fought!Glimpses of #KESARI tomorrow 12th Feb!" The poster us a glimpse into the mind of the brave-heart who was sent into the battlefield by Britishers with just 20 soldiers. The first trailer will come out on 21 February.

Kesari is based on the historical Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghan soldiers.

Akshay wrote, "Aaj meri pagdi bhi Kesari, jo bahega mera woh lahoo bhi Kesari, aur mera jawaab bhi Kesari".
