Velvet Buzzsaw Trailer Teases Netflix’s Star Studded Horror Flick

'Velvet Buzzsaw' Trailer: Jake Gyllenhaal & Rene Russo Reteam with 'Nightcrawler' Director Dan Gilroy

Velvet Buzzsaw is about the contemporary art world, where high up people will pay loads of money for these art pieces.

"Stunned by how surrealistic the paintings are, local art gallery owner Morf Vandewalt and his assistant Rhodora Haze put the artwork up for display to the public". The problem? Well, a woman who is not an artists tries to pass off her dead neighbours art as hers, and that doesn't turn out well at all.

The trailer has arrived for Netflix's upcoming horror Velvet Buzzsaw, which arrives on the streaming platform from 1st February 2019. Dark and disturbing paintings daubed on cardboard are unearthed in the apartment of a deceased man by his curious neighbour, Josephina (Zawe Ashton), who knows that he has no friends or relatives coming to collect his belongings. Interestingly enough, the trailer (watch above) also makes it seems like each of these murders will become a work of art themselves.

Velvet Buzzsaw's tagline reads: "All art is unsafe".

Jake Gyllenhaal is haunted by murderous art in the freakish trailer for Netflix's upcoming film Velvet Buzzsaw.

If you've never seen it, we fully recommend you check it out (it is available on Netflix right now), but we're even more excited for their follow up project, the fantastically titled Velvet Buzzsaw (a movie we mentioned in our 9 most anticipated 2019 Netflix exclusives).

"Velvet Buzzsaw" reunites Gyllenhaal with "Nightcrawler" writer-director Dan Gilroy, and also stars Natalia Dyer, John Malkovich, Daveed Diggs, Toni Collette and Tom Sturridge.
