Silva and Howe unhappy with referee after Everton's win over Bournemouth

Ademola Lookman could be set for a start

Kurt Zouma has revealed he ran to Marco Silva after scoring the opener in Evertons 2-0 victory over Bournemouth because Silva to score in the immediate build-up to Sunday's win over Bournemouth.

Both sides came into the contest on the back of a disappointing spell of form with Everton having only won one of their last eight Premier League matches and Bournemouth registering just a single victory from their last six games.

Majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri has invested heavily in Everton, with the Liverpool club set to submit a planning application for a new £500 million ($636 million, 556 million euro) stadium at Bramley-Moore dock later this year.

"They were an important three points for us". We had a clean sheet.

An Everton setpiece was cleared by the Cherries defence before Lucas Digne kept the ball alive on the left.

Everton move up to 10th in the table after recovering from a poor opening 30 minutes to win only their second league game since the start of December.

A nervous Everton then had to survive concerted Bournemouth pressure at the end of a rainswept encounter before, in the fifth minute of stoppage time, the Toffees put the result beyond doubt.

Keane and Pickford combined to deny Dan Gosling an equaliser and Calvert-Lewin - who replaced Richarlison - turned Ademola Lookman's cutback home in the 95th minute to guarantee the win.

Kurt Zouma's goal for Everton was his third in the Premier League and his first since November 2017 for Stoke City.

Bournemouth remain 12th after a sixth consecutive away loss in the league.

Eddie Howe, the Bournemouth manager, is anxious for his players to avoid a crisis of confidence as they attempt to end a slump.

But he added: "I thought the first goal was a huge moment which we didn't defend well enough".

"It's a hard one to take and one that is similar to our recent run".
