Raptors’ Leonard drops to sixth place in National Basketball Association all-star voting

Westbrook says Adams is'definitely worthy of being an All-Star

Fans account for 50 percent of the vote to determine the 10 starters for the 68th NBA All-Star Game.

Kyrie Irving leads all Eastern Conference guards while Kawhi Leonard joins James, Doncic, Curry and Irving as the fifth player with at least 2 million votes.

Dallas Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic has also maintained his position with the second-most All-Star votes of all Western Conference frontcourt players. The next leading vote getter is none other than MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo, who leads the Eastern Conference with roughly 2.6 million votes.

Walker, a reserve in the last two All-Star Games, is now third in Eastern Conference fan voting among guards behind the Boston Celtics' Kyrie Irving and Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade.

Current NBA players account for 25 percent of the vote; so does a media panel. The top vote victor in each conference is named the captain of their team, and then they draft players from either conference's all-star starters and reserves list to comprise their team. Every voter will complete one full ballot featuring two guards and three frontcourt players from each conference. Ball and Kuzma, along with Brandon Ingram, were selected to the Rising Stars Game last season. Unlike past year, the All-Star draft WILL be televised this season although the draft date has not yet been announced. Houston Rockets guard James Harden and Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook remain the third and fourth guards, respectively, in the conference. The voting for fans, players and media opened on December 25 and will end January 21.

Walker is third among East guards with 858,798 votes, ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers' Ben Simmons with 695,032.
