Man United have their club back - Scholes revels in Solskjaer revival

The FA Cup 4th Round kicks off on Friday with Arsenal vs. Manchester United, the competition's two winningest clubs with a combined 25 titles between them.

Solskjaer says the forward will play some part in the fourth-round clash with the Gunners on Friday at Emirates Stadium, where he spent four years before moving to United as part of a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan last January.

With that in mind, here is how we think Solskjaer will line up at the Emirates for what promises to be an enticing game.

Ex-Arsenal defender Keown told the Daily Mail of the threat posed by a man who has endured a hard time since moving to Old Trafford in January 2018: "Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been waiting for the ideal moment to re-introduce Alexis Sanchez". The midfielder revealed, "Since the first day he [Solskjaer] arrived the message has been very clear: this is Manchester United and you have to show that you are Manchester United players".

"I'm hoping for a thrilling contest that ends 3-2. and I believe Arsenal's firepower will be enough to inflict a first defeat on Solskjaer".

Tahith Chong made his Manchester United debut in the FA Cup third round against Reading.

"I'm not surprised if they do". Earlier this week, the boss himself revealed that he has always been a fan of the former Bilbao man.

Solskjaer described the disappearance of Cardiff striker Emiliano Sala as "tragic news".

Solskjaer said: "It was fantastic".

Sanchez may not have hit the heights at Old Trafford, but who would back against him getting one over against his former employers on Friday night?

Solskjaer confirmed Chris Smalling, who has resumed training this week, will miss the match along with Marouane Fellaini and Marcos Rojo, but United could have Luke Shaw available after the full-back missed the 2-1 Premier League win over Brighton and Hove Albion last week through illness.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to start in Bellerin's place, although Emery could opt to field the experienced Stephan Lichtsteiner instead.

United could lose Ander Herrera, Juan Mata and Ashley Young for free in the summer with their contracts set to expire on June 30 but Solskjaer is hopeful of good news as negotiations with the trio continue.

Considering Arsenal's win over Chelsea and Man United's form since Solskjaer's appointment, both sides will go into this clash fancying their chances.
