India ODI squad for Australia and New Zealand: Virat Kohli (captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Siraj, Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Shami. On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in (BCCI) said Bumrah was rested and his place will be taken by paceman Mohammed Siraj. The Indian selectors made a decision to rest him to keep him fresh for the limited overs series back home against Australia. In fact, only Nathan Lyon (242.1) bowled more overs than him in the series.

Mohammed Siraj has been in good form in the Ranji Trophy of late.

Bumrah could return when India host Australia in five ODIs and two T20s in February and March. He has also been rested for the upcoming tour of New Zealand.

India are slated to play their first ODI against Australia on January 12 in Sydney, followed by the second ODI on January 15 in Adelaide and the third ODI being on January 18 in Melbourne. The team will then travel to New Zealand for five ODIs from 23 January.
