Former NFL player Darren McFadden has posted bond after authorities say he was arrested on a drunken-driving charge when he fell asleep in the drive-through lane at a fast-food restaurant in suburban Dallas.

Sources told TMZ Sports that McFadden was found asleep behind the wheel of a 2019 GMC Yukon in the drive-thru of a McKinney Whataburger location.

Darren McFadden #20 of the Dallas Cowboys runs against the New York Jets during the first quarter at AT&T Stadium on December 19, 2015 in Arlington, Texas.

The former fourth-overall pick of the 2008 NFL Draft, McFadden had an up-and-down career after starring at the University of Arkansas.

Despite high hopes for his professional career, McFadden struggled with injuries during his time with the Raiders and cracked the 1,000 rushing yard mark only once, in 2010. He retired after the 2017 season.

McFadden played 10 years in the NFL.

McFadden, 31, was the Cowboys' leading rusher in 2015 and a backup to Ezekiel Elliott for the majority of the following two seasons.

Over the course of his career he accumulated 5,421 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns in 10 National Football League seasons.
