At CES 2019, you couldn't escape Google if you tried

Samsung Bixby 2.0 will bring back support for Google apps

Google Assistant's Interpreter Mode Demo Just before it was officially unveiled at the biggest tech show, the company showed how it worked. Additionally, the Mountain View-based company showed off a cute little Smart Clock from Lenovo as well as a bunch of upcoming vehicle accessories from Anker and JBL that will include Google Assistant.

All the while, translations in both languages popped up on the display of its Google Home Hub.

Predictably, Android users will be able to get their hands on a few more features than iOS users, including sending messages via Whatsapp, Google Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, Viber, and other third-party messaging applications. You'll be able to use the call button on the speaker to call up Google Assistant and do everything you'd expect, like asking for directions, finding nearby restaurants, and getting answers to questions, just like you'd get from a typical Google Home.

With so many updates, Google's voice-powered artificial intelligence was the focus of its attention for this year's CES with nearly every single news item was related to it.

To see these smart devices in action, you can check out the Google Assistant Playground at CES; otherwise, they'll be hitting the market over the upcoming months. Additionally, Google Assistant will also alert if your flight is ready for Web check-in.

Initiating Interpreter Mode is as simple as saying "Hey Google, be my French interpreter", for example.

And it wouldn't be CES without a new product or two joining the Google Assistant family. Some remain exclusive forever, while others are making their way to other smartphones after a while.

Google has announced Yesterday at CES some new features for its virtual personal assistant, Google Assistant.

At CES 2019, Google yesterday announced a number of new partnerships and features for Google Assistant. Version 1.0 let you post pictures to your Instagram, play music through Google Play Music, or even open Twitter and show your most recent DM.
