YouTube Rewind 2018 video on course to break dislike record

People aren’t happy about the star featuring at the expense of You Tubers

"'Cause 2018 YouTube REWIND will surpass it in the next 12 hours!"

Numerous most memorable people and moments were left out of YouTube Rewind 2018. This time around, online gaming mega-sensation Fortnite provides the backdrop, with content creators dropping into a jungle setting via the game's preferred form of group transit: a school bus hot air balloon.

"We were there watching the YouTube live stream - there was 11 million people concurrently watching the live stream - and then we went on to re-watching".

Was this in YouTube Rewind?

Anyway, YouTube is happy to report that local YouTubers had their subscribers double in count, with a total of eight local channel having more than a million subscribers each.

The highly anticipated film features the incoming villain Cable, played by Josh Brolin.

In case you aren't aware, Rewind is meant to showcase the top creators and content on YouTube each year. Dawson in the past has also shared his dislike for YouTube Rewind, also.

AsapSCIENCE, "Do You Hear "Yanny" or "Laurel"?"

While YouTube began its life as a platform where anyone could upload and share their videos, it has since morphed into a video ecosystem of its own.

The video is 8:13 minutes long, and was released December 6, 2018. This year, we gave control to YouTube creators and the YouTube community, taking direction for the storyline of the video from this new generation of talent and even from the YouTube comments section itself.

What gets me though, is that this year it seems to dig up faces that haven't been overly relevant on the platform in the past year, like Casey Neistat, Lilly Singh, and Caspar Lee.

There was unfortunately no place for PewDiePie, who fans had been campaigning to open the video with a clap to correspond with his Meme Review show and simply state "Year Review". "She is already building on a significant base of interests in her posts", said Brindle.

At time of publication, the video has a staggering 2.2 million dislikes-more than double the 1 million likes it's garnered.
