Tom Brady ties Peyton Manning's all-time, all-games touchdown record

Tom Brady Refused To Step Backwards On A Kneel Down To Keep His 1,000 Yard Rushing Milestone

On Instagram Monday, the Patriot quarterback said he could call it a career after reaching the milestone he most coveted.

Now at 9-3, Brady and his Patriots will head down to Miami on Sunday to take on the Dolphins, who currently sit in second place in the AFC East, three games behind the first-place Patriots.

Brady could play for several more seasons, in which case the Patriots' 2019 first-round pick should probably be used on a defensive player, but if the right QB is there, New England might as well roll the dice and try to hit gold.

ESPN Stats & Information reckoned that heading into Sunday's game Brady had lost 160 rushing yards to kneel-downs since 2006.

Plus, the big news for Brady, in addition to the fact that he finally got over 1,000 career rushing yards, was that he did throw his 579th career touchdown pass, including playoffs, which ties him with Peyton Manning for the all-time record.

"Hopefully I don't go backwards next week", said Brady after the game. And I don't want to make too much of a 4- or 5-yard gain. "And obviously, I'm not a scrambler. I made a good third down (play) on that one". "It really hasn't been a part of my game".

Bill Belichick couldn't wait to heap effusive praise on Brady for the hard-earned benchmark. I'm out! Time to ride off into the sunset.
