SpaceX Looks to Launch Supply Mission to International Space Station

NASA отложило запуск Dragon к МКС из-за плесени

The Monday Soyuz trip marked the first crew flight since an anomaly during launch grounded another crew in October.

Despite major problems, Falcon 9 somehow pulled off a successful soft-landing in the Atlantic.

However, the launch was marred by a system failure on the rocket which caused it to land in the sea, instead of on land SpaceX at Landing Zone 1 (LZ-1) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida, as planned.

The nonmoldy food bars and their corresponding mice, which will support the study of aging-related effects in space, are among the components for 38 new investigations on the Dragon spacecraft, NASA officials said.

A Falcon 9 begins to spin wildly on its landing approach.

Just minutes after the crash, Brevard County Emergency Management issued a statement that the "unscheduled water landing" posed no hazard to local residents.

CEO Elon Musk took to Twitter soon after the breathtaking loss of control and expected landing time, stating that the SpaceX team now pegged the failure on a grid fin's stalled hydraulic fin, which ultimately caused the wild spinning seen in the webcast.

Friday will see two separate Chinese rocket launches.

In a response to someone else's tweet, Musk clarified that SpaceX may use this Falcon 9 "for an internal SpaceX mission", but no further information on that was provided.

It seems that once the stalled fin extended fully, the rocket nearly regained control and came in for a landing almost like normal, but off target, in the water. Remarkably, it seems SpaceX may still be able to recover the rocket.

Company SpaceX is really surprising even those fans of space technologies that are sufficiently well versed in them - today, the talented team proved once again that the vision of Elon musk for renewable in the use of missiles is becoming more and more form. "Given this event, we will likely add a backup pump & lines".

As for the current iteration of the Falcon 9 rocket, at the time of the third launch took place yesterday with one of the sites of the company in the Pacific - experts spoke about the lack of such a need. It's scheduled to arrive Saturday morning.
