Mortal Kombat 11 bringing more ultraviolence in April

Mortal Kombat 11 Release Date and Announcement Trailer Revealed Brings a New Level of Brutality

"We can't wait until January when we'll be showing more of the game".

NetherRealm Studios has announced Mortal Kombat 11, seeing the gory fighting franchise making a gloriously bloody comeback in 2019, with all-new Custom Character Variations, seemingly taking its cue from last year's Injustice 2. At first glance, Raiden stands out from his usual blue-eyed appearance, bearing a pair of red eyes as dark as his blood that fans might recognize from his design in Mortal Kombat Deception and Armageddon.

After E3 2018 came and went without any word from developer NetherRealm Studios, many thought that any hope for a new Mortal Kombat was premature. Are you excited to return to the Mortal Kombat universe?

The footage that follows shows a ruined version of the classic Mortal Kombat Monk arena where Scorpion and Raiden facing off in a fight to the finish, which sees the more dark Raiden from the ending of Mortal Kombat X dispatch Scorpion with a thunderous bolt of lightning to the head.

All pre-orders for Mortal Kombat 11 will get access to Shao Khan as a playable character as well as beta access shortly before release. Weirdly, another Scorpion appeared to finish the fight - perhaps eluding to the new "custom variation" system that the game will be employing.

Mortal Kombat 11 is scheduled to release globally on April 23, 2019.

The promo for Mortal Kombat 11 is out and the gaming world is going insane.
