Dolly Parton Goes Christmas Crazy While Decorating for the Holidays

Danielle Macdonald and Jennifer Aniston star in the Netflix film

"How lucky I am I got through (fame) without having any emotional scarring", Aniston said when reflecting on her career.

The 72-year-old singer, who wrote the music for Jennifer's new Netflix movie Dumplin', made the bombshell revelation as she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night (03Dec18), telling the chat show host: "My husband is insane about her, and he was more excited that I was going to do a movie with her than he was that I got the chance to write all this music".

With a script from Kristin Hahn and directed by Anne Fletcher, based on the book of the same name by author Julie Murphy, this comedy is a celebration of Dolly Parton (featuring her tunes new and old) with themes of friendship, love, and body image that almost any woman can find relatable. But this movie is more like Kinky Boots meets Amy Schumer's I Feel Pretty, and capitalizes on all the messages Netflix's teen rom-com Sierra Burgess is a Loser tried to get across, but without the catfishing.

Dolly Parton definitely loves to get into the Christmas spirit!

"I just think it's cute", she added.

Speaking with USA Today, Aniston reacted to Parton's comments noting that she found them to be both comical and par-for-the-course for the country singer's sense of humor.

Jennifer even made Courteney her Maid of Honour at her 2015 wedding to ex-husband Justin Theroux, while the Cougar Town star is also thought to be returning the favour when she marries fiance and Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid.

"Yesterday Dolly and I were doing press and somehow that came up", Aniston said.

Dolly watched the recording session as Aniston and Macdonald did their best to add their singing voices to her tracks, encouraging them with her trademark positivity. "Just try to go out on wicker chairs, you know what I mean".

In the movie, which is based in a small Texan town, Jennifer plays former beauty queen Rosie Dickinson, the mother of main character Willowdean, who is also known as "Dumplin".

"That was just talk-show fodder", she concluded. So I guess I slightly offended her.
