OnePlus announces the 6T, coming to T

OnePlus 6T Goes Official With a Slightly Larger 6.41-inch Full HD+ Display and Android 9 Pie

The increase in screen real estate is also owing to the inclusion of a waterdrop notch, as compared to a much flatter one in the OnePlus 6's. The handset's price is expected to start at around Rs 35,000, but it will only be confirmed when the company reveals it at the upcoming event.

The OnePlus 6T is going to be available from November 1st, and the pre-order is open on Amazon India. It will be made available in Mirror Black and Midnight Black colour options.

The OnePlus 6T will be available in Blighty on 6 November, and will be available in three variations; 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. While the OnePlus 6 came with a 3300mAh battery, the OnePlus 6T has been bumped up to a 3700mAh battery pack. It has Qualcomm's top-end Snapdragon 845 processor, a choice of 6 or 8GB of RAM, a minimum of 128GB of storage up from just 64GB, dual-sim support and the latest version of Android 9 Pie.

Another notable upgrade included with the OnePlus 6T is its battery.

It starts with the most visible change, the teardrop notch.

The new display has a screen to body ratio of about 86% which is an improvement over the 83.8% screen to body ratio that OnePlus 6 has to offer. It is interesting to note that in the box, there is a "Type-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter". Apart from this hiccup, OnePlus offers the industry's top-of-the-line specs similar to the OnePlus 6 with the new OnePlus 6T.

The front has a single 16-megapixel f/2.0 camera for selfies. OnePlus had said that the new Nightscape mode is created to capture high-dynamic range, low light landscape and static shots with improved clarity and less noise. However, the company also announced that NightScape is also coming to this phone in a future software upgrade.

"Our rationale is that the person who wants to take the device swimming shouldn't be able to raise the cost of the device for everyone; that's our OnePlus way of looking at it". The display is now.1-inch taller with a different style notch, the cameras are the same and we're getting an updated version of Android 9 Pie with Oxygen OS on top. Over 30 devices are eligible for trade-in, including all previous OnePlus devices: OnePlus One, OnePlus 2, OnePlus X, OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5, OnePlus 5T, and OnePlus 6. We'll explain features like the handsome bezel-free display, almost no notch, and the in-display fingerprint scanner. This one doesn't come as a surprise because the company promised to bring the nifty camera features to the OnePlus 6 and since the latter uses the same camera setup as the 6T, there's no reason not to. OnePlus's deal with T-Mobile will give OnePlus 6T greater visibility and attract new customers visiting T-Mobile stores.
