Not Real Madrid, Arsene Wenger likely to return coaching with AC Milan

Guess who's back

Wenger spent over 20 years in charge of the Gunners before parting ways with the Londoners during the summer.

Reports emanating from France surfaced on Monday stating that the former Arsenal boss was in advanced talks with the San Siro side to replace Gennaro Gattuso in the dugout.

Arsene Wenger has dismissed reports that he is set to take over at AC Milan as "fake news".

'I cannot master the rumours, I can only master what I do in my life.

In an interview with Sky Sports last month the 69-year-old predicted a swift return to management: "I'll be somewhere early next year but I do not know where, I got a good rest".

But Wenger, with his enormous experience and remarkable track record with Arsenal, is arguably a much safer pair of hands to guide Milan back into the European elite. That's wrong as well. "I'm at the moment only focused on doing well for beIN Sports, and that's not easy!"

Wenger had previously indicated that he would be taking time off from coaching until the beginning of next year.

Wenger, who has also been linked with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, tried to put an end to the speculation.

He won the Premier League three times during his stay at the Emirates, winning the FA Cup as many as times in his 22-year long tenure at Arsenal.
