Houston Rockets to part ways with Carmelo Anthony

Trae Young

Green was suspended for one game on Tuesday for "conduct detrimental to the team" following a furious bust-up with Durant during the team's overtime loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

The Warriors forward spoke on Thursday for the first time since the incident.

Green fired back harshly. callin' Durant a "b*tch" multiple times - and reportedly even letting the argument spill into the post-game locker room. I've just seen a bunch of dudes around the league making so much money - and I'm happy for them.

"I think there's no secret that I am an emotional player", he said. I wear my emotions on my sleeve. "If you're one of them other 29 teams, you've got to beat us".

The only reason I like this better is imagining Nikola Mirotic playing alongside Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

While the Warriors dealt with the drama between Green and Durant, the Rockets were left to answer questions about the decision to move on from Anthony.

It was previously reported that Green is among a group of Warriors who feel Durant has made his free agency the focus of the team's season. In another overtime loss, 109-106 at Sacramento on February 4, 2017, they shouted at each other and argued near the bench.

"I just told them: 'Congratulations, guys".

There is also talk that some of the team's veterans have grown exhausted of Green's emotional outbursts. However, he did rave about Green and what he's done for the Warriors in his seven seasons with the team. "We've won championships. We've lost a Game 7 in the Finals". He's a champion. He's a victor and he's so passionate that at times he can go over the edge. "We going to move forward". Durant shot just 6 for 15, Green had as many turnovers as assists (five) and failed to score, and the Warriors simply looked shell-shocked. We're not going to beat us. We going to continue to do what we do and I'm sorry if that ruins everybody's stories.

"But I know I deserve that, too". He's struggled mightily over 10 games, averaging a career-low 13.4 points per game on just over 40 per cent shooting and 32.8 per cent from deep. 'We're going to be very, very careful, and obviously he's going to need plenty of court time before he returns, ' coach Steve Kerr said.
