Global plastic pledge signed by leading brands 'weak on reduction'

Major companies responsible for a FIFTH of the world's plastic packaging pledge to end waste

In its announcement, SC Johnson highlighted a 2015 report by Ocean Conservancy and the McKinsey Center for Business and Environment which found that China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand were responsible for more than 55 percent of the plastic waste around the world that seeped into the ocean. "As business leaders we need to seize this opportunity to make a positive difference, not only for the world we live in today but for future generations too".
