Buffalo Bills cut ties with interception-prone QB Nathan Peterman

Jets won’t have another chance to save their season

Peterman's 32.5 passer rating is the third-lowest among quarterbacks with at least 130 pass attempts since the merger, behind those of McQuilken (17.9) and Scott Bull (24.8).

Former Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman leaves Buffalo as one of the most turnover-prone players in the history of the NFL. He completed 69 of 133 passes (51.8 percent) for 562 yards, three touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

He received the season-opening start despite a 2017 performance that saw him throw five interceptions and two touchdowns in two starts.

Peterman also started the Bills' 41-9 Week 9 loss to the Bears.

Peterman spent last season as Tyrod Taylor's backup before being named the starter for a November 19 game at the Los Angeles Chargers.

He's best remembered for throwing five interceptions in the first half of his first career start in a 54-24 loss at the Los Angeles Chargers a little under a year ago.

Rookie quarterback Josh Allen was ruled out of a fifth straight game Sunday as he dealt with an elbow injury as backup Derek Anderson dealt with a concussion. He was the second free-agent quarterback to sign with the Bills since the regular season began. He later threw two interceptions, including one the Texans returned for the game-winning touchdown.

And now Peterman is done.

Whoever starts, Bills fans can take comfort there will be zero chance they see Peterman take the field again.
