All Blacks name side for England clash

All Blacks centre Jack Goodhue joined the squad in London after recovering from glandular fever

But a relaxed Read, speaking at New Zealand's London hotel on Friday, said: "We do the haka as a challenge, but it is more about us connecting as a team".

"You can either make the movie or be in the movie, and we want to make the movie", Jones said when asked if teams suffer by putting the All Blacks on a pedestal.

Chris Ashton will make his first England start in four years but there is no place for blockbusting Manu Tuilagi for the test against New Zealand in London this weekend.

"Our team went on to have a pretty successful Six Nations and enjoyed a decent a winning streak".

"Right now (England) are one of the top teams in the world", he said.

Granted England did not play well, especially in the first half, but led by inspirational co-captain Farrell, they dug out a result and defended superbly.

"If he weren't a rugby player he'd be a marathon runner because he can run and run for days without getting exhausted. The Twickenham crowd was very loud, we didn't allow them to gain any psychological advantage from the Haka it was a moment that will live with me for a very long time".

"You're expected to win every Test match and not only win it but win it really well".

The All Blacks as a unit talk about the expectations on them, and Hansen and his staff encourage the players to "walk towards the pressure".

Although Itoje has not played against New Zealand in a senior England shirt, he captained England U20s to a World Rugby U20 Championship triumph there, and more recently featured in all three Tests against Steve Hansen's men during the 2017 British & Irish Lions tour, so knows what to expect.

"Once you come to realise that [pressure], life becomes a little easier". The All Blacks have won the last five games against England and beaten them in 14 of the last 15 clashes.

Winger Rieko Ioane, 21, added: "The pressure we put on each other is probably bigger than what everyone perceives we get on the outside".

"They (England) play a game, it can be fairly conservative, but it wins football (rugby) games, and they've got some guys out there who are pretty devastating with ball-in-hand". "There's 80,000 people, it's all over the papers, everyone's talking about it, you can't get a ticket".

England head into this weekend's clash with wing Chris Ashton, one of the most prolific try-scorers in the game, back in their starting side for the first time in four years.

Jones believes opponents are often bewitched by New Zealand's dazzling skills, reducing them to the role of spectators as their try-line is repeatedly breached before coming to their senses.
