Topeka's Library ready for its 4th book sale of the year

Smart Shopper: Bargain books and a $5 bag sale at Grand Rapids Public Library

The book sale is scheduled at the Hayden Library Friday, Nov. 2, and Saturday, Nov. 3.

Roslin Thompson from the library tells KNIA/KRLS News the sale is important to their operations. Bonnie Gaff, Chair of the fall book sale, said all proceeds will go toward the library to help with future upgrades.

Thousands of items will be set up in the Yusunas Room and the Zimmerman Room in the lower level of the library, 309 Oak DeKalb.

For more information, call the library at 401-725-3714.

Many still enjoy throwing themselves into a good book.

The Old Book Sale is located at Riverstreet Corners Shopping Center off Riverside Drive. All hard cover books, large paperback books, DVDs, audio books, and CDs will be $1 each.

The regular book sale will continue from 9 5 p.m. Saturday; and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Better books and collectibles are excluded. As of August 2018, the Friends have contributed $12,870 toward summer reading and other library programs.
