More Telltale Employees Laid Off As Studio Continues Its Collapse

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Could be Completed by Telltale's Ex-Staff

That hasn't lasted long, however, as it seems like Telltale has completely laid off all of it's remaining crew members. Now, another Telltale Games employee that was a part of that group of 25 has come forward to reveal her team has been fired.

Various outlets such as have reached out to Telltale for comment, and have yet to receive a reply. The sources stress that it isn't a case of Telltale using funds to fuel development instead of paying severance to the hundreds of people it dismissed last month. "Nah, jk, we all just got laid off, too".

In a Q&A panel at New York Comic-Con today, Robert Kirkman, the writer and co-creator of The Walking Dead comics on which Telltale's adaptation is based, told fans of the games to "stay tuned". Telltale has not offered an official statement on the situation, though it's unclear whether there's anyone still at the studio who could offer such communication. It said it was keeping a skeleton crew of 25 to "fulfill the company's obligations to its board and partners".

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe", Rachel Noel wrote, paraphrasing Blade Runner. The dreaded "crunch" where developers are expected to work 60-80 hours weeks is one of the most commonly complained about "standards" that has developed over the past few decades. "All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain".
