In the latest development of the Kanye West saga, the rapper is expected to meet with President Donald Trump and his son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner on Thursday, according to a report in the New York Times.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed to the White House TV pool that West will be joining the president for lunch, and also meeting with Kushner. Kanye is scheduled to meet with the president at the White House on Thursday. Kanye is reportedly seeking job opportunities for former convicts, while criminal justice reform has reportedly been Kushner's main focus recently.

Kim Kardashian, West's wife, met with the President in the Oval Office in June.

The influential rapper emerged as one of Trump's most high-profile celebrity supporters during the 2016 presidential election campaign.
